I see the average supliment serving is 20g of protein if taken with water. Why not just drink milk(non fat, or whatever)? You could get that much protein with not too much milk and save a lot of money. Does the benifit come from other things in the supliment?
Allways kinda wondered this
Thanks

Lactose intolerance, carb content and portability to name a few.
I don't know if it is actually cheaper to drink milk. Milk costs me ~$4(CDN) for 4 L and I would have to drink 2.5 cups to get the same protein content as a supplement. I'm now looking at 62 cents per serving. I think Nitrean is cheaper than that.

The "fast absorption" concept is what spurs alot of attention and usage.
Ease of use is another.

You can get different types of protein from supplements that arent found in milk.

I can't get 20 grams of protein from milk for less that I pay for whey.

Also if your cutting or on a restricted cal diet, milk has alot of calories and carbs that aren't needed.
