View Full Version : Clean Gaining regimen

I know this is somewhat oversimplified,
but if I were to try to cleanly gain around 20 lbs, would I be looking at eating just tons of cooked chicken breast, random steamed/cooked vegetables, milk--- while avoiding/keeping as low as possible any sugars and carbs? Keep a normal caloric level to maintain energy?

also, what should I be looking for in a clean gaining supplement?

Clean is no fun. Eating clean is just simply increasing your cal. Intake by 10-20% above maintenence, just upping your protein and fat intake by about 50/25 respectively should do it at your weight :)

Read "What a bodybuilder eats" in the stickies. It's got just about everything you should be eating. If those foods sound boring, check John Berardi's "Gourmet Nutrition". It has some amazing and healthy recipes.
