It is a bitch finding the real world records, with all the BS federations I can't nail down the real teen raw bench records. I do know that Eddie Robenson raw benched 610lbs at 19 for a world record ( he was 220) but it does not show up on any of the federations since all this equipment became the norm. Any help would be apreachiated....by the way I am not looking for drug tested records.

Eddie Robenson didn't really bench 610 at 19.Thats something that was made up to make him seem more impressive. The 242 record before Jeremy Hoornstra came around was 603, and it was held for almost 30 years before him. The 220 record I believe is still held by Mike Macdonald, and is just shy of 600lbs. A lot of bbers claim to have hit impressive powerlifting numbers but have never shown up in a meet to prove themselves.

I am telling you that the teen record wouldn't be any higher than the men's open record...get it? The meet Eddie hit the 610 at was a touch and go BBing extravaganza type thing. It was not sanctioned, they allowed elbow wraps, and Eddie was much older than 19 and much heavier then 220. I talked about this with Ed Coan this morning to make sure I was correct in my belief and he assured me that I was.

Nick bro, it's awesome to have somebody here with the knowledge access to knowledge that you have. I can't contemplate casually talking with Ed Coan haha. I love it.

that was before i stopped being a pussy on the DL, and just went for it as hard as I could.

either way, its hardly a title to be proud of really.. i was up against about 200other kids nationally.

There arent enough numbers to properly weight score, there were a few kids who were massive, arounnd 280-300, but they were juse obese and thought they were strong.

There was one kid from Brisbane, weighed 245, but we had the same scores except for my DL.
