After working out, how long does the soreness usually last?

or sometimes 7-9 days... hehe I think 1-5 days would be considered normal/healthy. Make sure you eat a lot. It really does help.

oo ok. I just like wanted to know if after you start training consistently if it went down. I mainly wanted to know this because after I workout the next day Im so sore I dont do as well in boxing or football.

I usually have terrible DOMs, After my last squat workout, which was lower volume. I got very little soreness, this is what I did. Try it
warmup bike
workout
bike about 10 min
lots of stretching, holding 30 - 60 sec
massage
hot shower
more stretching, and light bw lunges and squats, and stretching throughout the evening and a little the next day or two

Seems like a lot but it wasn't, and if helps recovery, keeps me able walk without grimmacing.

I like my massage balls, tennis balls are great.

Yeah DOMS are a bitch. I fine they're at their worst 2 days after working out. Try doing some light cardio work with sore muscles and massaging them. Read "Small balls that please" by Maki. I never knew a tennis ball could feel so good :drooling:
