Whats a good source of carbs to take on the go? For lunch I try to hit 50g, so I have a sandwich (24g) and 1/2 cup raw oats (24g) but it gets old trying to down a 1/2 cup oats raw with water. Anything else I can have for a good 25g of carbs?

Dude honestly...Do you really have nothing better to do then make stupid posts? What's the point of saying something worthless, to just waste my time, and misinform total noobs. Not only do you waste your time posting non-sense, you waste anyones time you reads it, and you just bring down the quality that this forum has.

Good question, not many other good carbs on the go. Beans maybe?

Not sure what kind of carbs you are looking for , but a medium sized apple has 21g. On the probably slighty less healthy side those Quaker oatmeal bars have 41g.

Anyway, i eat **** loads of canned Bean mix. They are great! Decent protein in them too, they are VERY cheap, and after a while, you learn to like them.

Have you seen the "Oatmeal to Go" bars? I picked them up at Sam's Club one time. They come in a box of 36 or something like that. Depending on the flavor they have anywhere from 48-54g a piece. Only negative is there are like 19 sugars.

Beans would be a great source of fiber as well. Do you have a microwave available to you at lunch? Uncle Bens makes pouches of rice that can quickly be heated up in a microwave. The brown rice is a good source of fiber, healthy carbs, and you'll get a little protein in there as well.

I was going to make some suggestions but if you're going to respond like that I won't bother.

i had the same problem, where oh where will i get my carbs from?

well my gym is next to a grocery store and after my late evening workout i went into the grocery store and noticed that they sell bagged 1/2 dozen bunches of day old bagels for $1.00. and to my suprise there were whole weat bagels. so for the past few weeks i have been going into the store right before closing and getting a 1/2 dozen whole weat bagels for a buck. They have enough carbs/calories/fiber to stay in my nutritional arsenal for a long time...

fitday places a single extra large whole weat bagel (4"-4.5"dia) at 254 calories, 1 gram of fat, 52 grams of carbs, and 9 grams of protein.
