got a competition the 24th of feburary and would like to have it to 405 for it.
any advise on workouts?
last year with only doing 3 training sessions on deads i did 370 at the comp.
well i should have about 3 or 4 months training for them now.
yesterday i tried to up the weight to 375 and failed misrably as it didnt budge (have gotton 370 a few times at the end of a workout)
right now my deadlift workouts consist of about 3-4 sets after i get done with squats, I am going to be splitting them up next week (was going to do it this week but i had to miss a workout cause of a meeting with a morgage broker for the house im getting) I think this week i was just to tired after my squat workout as i did 250x10 for 2 sets, 285x3 and 325x1, then to deadlifts at 325x5, 340x3, then attempted 375 and failed.
im thinking of doing something like 5 reps, 5 reps, 3 reps, 3 reps, then 1 rep.
just need to move my max strength up for it. what do the heavy deadlifters suggest?
