I have been on a slow cut since Oct 15th. I have went from 215down to 196lbs with 18-19 lbs. to still drop. I work rotating shiftwork. I have been persistant. However when i work 7 straight days of midnight shifts i find it very hard to eat while working from 11pm-7am. I guess my bio. clock is telling me to be sleeping and NOT eating. My question,,, Is it bad for me to go 7-8 hrs without eating on a cut even if i am still reaching my needed caloric deficit during the day???? Am i wasting or feeding off of muscle or bodyfat??? P.S. i GO ON THE MIDNIGHT SHIFT FOR 7 DAYS ONCE EVERY 5 WEEKS,,, This is the only time that i don't want to eat at work during this cut, and my activity on the nightshift is VERY low. Any answers are greatly appreciated, Matt

Generally, if you are awake, it is not a good idea to wait 7-8 hours before eating again. Are you able to pack a snack or shake to take with you?

I eat every 2-3 hours while I'm awake, including a bedtime meal.

Very true. Your body likes having a constant supply of glucose/energy. It sure makes me feel a lot better when I have a consistent amount of food in my stomach

Well, what about waking up in the middle of the night and having a snack? I can rarely sleep through an entire night. So, around 2:00 am or so I wake up and have a half a bowl of Kashi with skim milk and play on the computer for an hour. If I am cutting should I not eat or go ahead and eat the snack to rev up my metabolism?
