Yeah, looks like you could nail 435 easily. I use the same foot placement as you do while benching.

Quite Frankly HB.. I'm disappointed!!

You were wearing shoes!!! I don't think it counts for you unless you are wearing those sandals of yours.
HAHA!!!

Seriously.. impressive man.. you hit that 420 so easily... the explosion off the chest looks like you have 430 or 440 just as easy.

Keep Heavy Bombing man!!

ya that was hardly a max effort, you had alot more in ya, that was to easy for you.
that was a nice pause too, you should be able to hit around 450 if you did a touch and go.
good job, your a beast.

I appreciate it everyone.

No, it was not a true max.
I used the lift more as a gauge n how quick I could move it. With that lift I think I'll go into the meet on February 3rd like this:

1st attempt: 415 (easy)
2nd: 435 (best lift to date)

If I get that and depending how well, I'll make the 3rd attempt either 445 or 450.

I've been training for over 15 years on and off and fairly steady for the past 8 years I think. I've been training Westside variations for about five years.

Thanks everybody!

Nice lift HB... You should get into some powerlifting.. Good pause n' all but you would definatley get more out of your leg drive if you put your feet flat. I used to bench on my toes too but I had a lot of issues with balance, going flat footed seems to give you a more stable base for your lift.

Buuuut thats just me!

Awesome job!

I'm pretty sure HB already does compete. I remember him posting lifts from a meet, not too long ago. He knows what he's doing and what works best for him. I mean, just look at him and his lifts. Incredible.

Has Westside payed off the most for size or strength??

What has benefitted your size the most?

Heavybomber is an action figure come to life... only with more articulation of the joints.

My routine is not pure Westside. It is definitely conjugate periodization with an emphasis on hypertrophy. It's worked very well and both strength and size is up.

HeavyBomber

Well, that's the bad news. I'm a raw lifter in the 275 weight class even though I'm right around 250 lbs.
I cannot touch the shirted lifters but even in the raw division my constant competitor benches 500 or more.

thats still not bad, not everone can take first in the class, but always enjoy competing and showing what you've worked for. with your height uses up alot of your weight, but dont let that slow you down, just try for more and more weight.

Natural?! Wow, that's amazing HB. Just looking at your pictures and videos I always assumed you used (take that as a compliment) and I was still very impressed. I doubt I could ever bench that much weight with all the test in the world. Mad props to you man!

Well, unless something horrific happened like a torn muscle or something, I never fail completely. The most you'd have to lift off of me is 10-20 lbs.

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELPFULL ADVICE AND INSPIRATION EVERYBODY!

I think it's pretty obvious HB eats small children as a pre-workout meal. Great effort bro. I know you got 440 raw in you, can't wait to see it. =]
