01-26-2007, 05:54 PM
That's a lot of weight lost! Good work. Yes indeed any before pics?

01-26-2007, 05:58 PM
Man do some more weighted crunches or somethin

jk, your leg shot is sick though nice job

edit: just saw your pre cut pics, very nice improvement overall

01-26-2007, 06:00 PM
Nice clean bulk from here will keep you smiling .. Unless you are just going to maintain a while.

01-26-2007, 06:00 PM
I thought the bf was a lot lower than 10%. I was going to say 7%, but who knows, maybe I'm off.

Either way, congrats on dropping all that weight. Keep it up!

01-26-2007, 06:34 PM
Good job dude, seems like alot of weight lost to me, but your looking pretty shredded.
I would say just under 10%. Before pics would be good.

his first pics:

edit: i still dont believe its him

cut from 220 down to 170...

God damn! You shouldnt have taken all 50 pounds off! You should start bulking up quick. But you are pretty shredded and youll look awesome after you bulk up more.

01-27-2007, 12:02 AM
Just my opinion, but I think you lost too much weight and a lot of muscle to go alone with that weight. Your before pics showed potential of being a solid weightlifting with pretty good build. Now you have lost a lot of fat and obviously muscle. I do like your thighs though. But your torso and core are lacking though.

01-27-2007, 12:22 AM
You looked like you had much more muscle mass in the before pics. I think you could have gone from 220 to ~190 or 200 even if you were able to withhold more muscle during the cut. What were your lifts like in the before pics? And now?

Looking shredded though, that's for sure.

This is what I'm afraid of when I start my first cut...losing too much muscle. Anyone have any links to good cutting advice?

01-27-2007, 01:21 AM
You are shredded bro and if thats what your going for fantastic you look good.

The only thing I can say is you would look better if you were that cut at a bigger weight so add weight and then try cutting in the future ( year or so but worth it)

01-27-2007, 03:22 AM
Yeah, I'm not going to slam you or criticise you too much but I think this cut was a mistake and that it was very badly done.

Comparing these photos to your previous ones, it's clear that you have lost a LOT of muscle mass. Although it was hard to tell with the lighting, you still looked reasonably lean in your first pics.

Now your arms look a good 2 inches smaller, your lat spread is smaller - everything is smaller.

You need to clean bulk right away and try and add as much of that muscle back as possible.

If you don't know how to diet, read every sticky, read the info in Builts signature and make a thread in the diet forum with any questions you have.

No offense, but you're pretty skinny. You can see the ribs by your chest and it looks like you lost a lot of muscle and possibly strength. You should probably start doing a small bulk and gain some of your muscle back. I personally think you looked better before than you do now.

01-27-2007, 07:39 AM
I am doing a bulk now. I lost most of that muscle because I lost my motivation to lift for a while. Now I am back into it and bulkin up.

01-27-2007, 10:00 AM
Very cut. You chest is a weak point.

01-27-2007, 11:42 AM
looked WAY WAY better before imo

01-27-2007, 11:54 AM
All that, just to get abs? Dude... the amount of muscle you lost is almost mind-blowing. You looked nice and thick in your last pics, and now, well... hey it's your body right?

01-27-2007, 12:04 PM
might wana change the avataar aswell dude

01-27-2007, 12:05 PM
Some people just have different goals. Some people see his cut as stupid or whatever, but if it makes him happy, then so be it.

01-27-2007, 12:20 PM
looked WAY WAY better before imo

My advice is start hard gaining. :)

01-27-2007, 12:58 PM
You lost a lot of muscle, but you certainly are ripped. I wouldn't mind losing a lot of muscle if I could achieve that level of leanness.

01-27-2007, 02:20 PM
I would much rather be big than lean like that. I wouldnt want to go down to 7% if it meant losing so much muscle. I would be more than happy to be arond 180 10% bf. Right now im 180 and around 14% at most. Ive got alot of work to do.

01-27-2007, 02:31 PM
My advice is start hard gaining. :)

thats the idea. I also lost the weight to be more competitive in weightlifting. I am two weight classes lower now. This year I will be competing in 183 and next 199, maybe even 219 again, only this time more muscle and less fat.

01-27-2007, 03:02 PM
But did you have to lose that much muscle to do that?

01-27-2007, 07:50 PM
for the ppl who think he targetted and only lost lean body mass its not true, he did lose alota mass, but its because hes so depleted in the after pics giving his muscles a flat look when compared to the full look he has at 220..Im guessing he didnt consume enough carbs while cutting when he starts bulking again like 10 more lbs hell look good.

01-27-2007, 10:16 PM
you need more incline chest, and overal more chest in your workout:
cutting like that was too fast, you lost to much muscle. ahh i dont know what your goal is so let us know.

I guess that is my consistant weak point. someone said "upper chest" on my last thread. how do i fix that

01-28-2007, 10:40 AM
uhm for your chest workout just do incline bench with a smith machine or free weight bar. then do incline with dumbells, then do, if you have, incline hammer strength machine. then do incline fly's. Do that for a month youll see a difference

01-28-2007, 11:10 AM
You can't build your upper chest. Anyways, I assume your cals were too low and you cut too fast. What was the plan for your cut?

01-28-2007, 11:30 AM
Yea they were too low. The original plan for my cut was to get to the bottom of the 219lb weight class and then bulk up to the top. But somewhere in there I lost all my motivation and my diet went to hell...

rest assured though now I am throwin food down. Your amazing protein bars included.

01-28-2007, 12:18 PM
Telling him to do incline bench, then incline with dumbbells, then incline hammer bench, then incline flies, so he can "build his upper chest" is a bad idea. To the OP: please don't take that advice.

Edit: Tried to make it sound nicer. ;)

01-28-2007, 09:24 PM
You lost some muscle mass, but now you are in great shape. Bring up the chest, hit some weighted ab work and gain back some muscle.

01-28-2007, 09:26 PM
then incline hammer bench

what's a hammer bench?

Oh and OP you lost 50 lbs! I think you lost 30 lbs fat and 20 lbs muschle!!! :(
