Ok so this is my second day of low-carb cutting.
I am going for a 900 cal deficit each day.
115 fat
150 carb
230 prot.

This is my diet. IT works out to be like 2500 cals a day.
With moderate activity, i need like 3500 cals to sustain me, so its more like a 1000 cal deficit. Anyway i am having some extreme hunger, and im not sure what to do. Is one supposed to be this hungry during a diet? Will this diet be good enough to sustain muscle mass? What do i do when i am hungry? Just hunker down and not eat? Isnt that starvation, which normally eats away at muscle before fat? Im really not sure what to do.

hahaha. add 500 cals bro, start at 3000. then when you stop losing weight, drop to 2750. follow from there

To loose one pound of fat, you require a 3,500 calorie deficit. Over a week that is 500 a day. Most people here recommend only loosing one pound a week unless you are significantly overweight. Personally, I can't go more than 500 a day without loosing strength.

iirc, your body wants to chew on protein, aka muscles, pretty readily, so extreme deficits will force your body to eat away at muscle before fat. I'll have to crack open the anatomy book for further info.

ok cool. One pound every week sounds kinda slow, but if it means my sixpack, then i guess its worth the wait.
cheers
