do the skins of sweet potatos or yams have significant nutrition value? If thye do, I'll keep eating them. If not, they are going in the trash. :)

They contain fiber and usually all of the good stuff is in the skins.

that's the rumors i've heard since i was little, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't just my mom's tale to get me to eat the whole thing.
If I shred the skins like mashed potatoes, I'm sure thye will taste better.

I always eat the skin. I like the taste though, so its no big deal.

i've done brown sugar, and also tried salt and pepper. butter in both cases....mmmmm....buuuuuuutterrrrrrr.

hey Mean Green, throw some thick wedges of sweet potato on a foreman grill. Sprinkle with italian season,red wine vinegar,salt,pepper and tobasco sauce. Its a great post workout meal with no fat.

my bad, i haven't been able to follow local sports. i just moved back from living in PA for a half a year.
