I know there are a ton a variables and it is different for every person, but I was hoping to find maybe and average caloric intake for a guy approximatly my size (5'-9", 152 lb., sub 10% body fat). About 3 years ago I was 186 lb. and 21% body fat. I cut cal.'s and started working out to lose the weight and fat. Once I got my weight down I started slowly bumping the calories back up. I am currently getting between 2,500 & 2,700 per day, with protein being around 170 g. Lately I am never full...always hungry. Is this normal? Is 2,700 calories enough? The way I figure it, I am getting 18-19 cal./lbm...this seems sufficient. Thanks for any thoughts or opinions.

Are you gaining weight? If not keep bumping up in small increments.

well before I decided to lose weight I had no idea what amount of calories and junk I was putting into my body. I ate mainly fast food and tons of soft drinks. I had to cut calories down to around 1,800 to start getting the fat off. Now I am back up to around 2,700.

You just answered your own question: EAT MORE!

I'm about your size and eat 3500-4000 a day. Up it a couple hundred at a time until you start gaining weight.

Agreed. Everyone is different but you obviously aren't taking in enough.
