Squats help build overall mass, but they aren't required.
There are plenty of people out there with large upper bodies who choose to not work their legs. They look funny, though.

I don't know why people are just now realizing this. Most athletes have started to seriously weight train to become better. Don't know why it's taken this long.

Also finally people are starting to realize that bodybuilders might be right about dieting and what not.

People are morons. Bodybuilding has been around for decades..

I think the word bodybuilding needs to be reevaluated, it doesn't mean just being huge lean and onstage.

Its a term that means bettering yourself and building your body stronger and to better preform

These people who don't build there legs are also not as big as you think. Having a scrawny pair of legs would make an average sized upper body appear bigger. Its how your mind perceives things.

A gigantic upperbody would make a normal pair of legs look tiny and vice versa.

I also agree with Jinkies, you don't have to be cut to be a bodybuilder. To break the word down, your just building up your body.

His upper body would be bigger if he squatted, too.

Ohhhh....right....
