As some of you know I went up to compete this weekend at an awesome meet with a large number of my training partners. My good friend and training partner John Bernor put together some big numbers and hit 2600@308 by going 1110-780-710. He had more in the tank too. I am so happy for him, he is one of the nicest and humble guys in the sport. We have to fight with him sometimes to put more weight on the bar. We bumped his 3rd deadlift attempt all the way to 775 to try and break the 308 all-time total record, but it was just too much for that day. I think he will be good for 2700+ the next time he steps on the platform.

I'm still working on 1,600, let alone 2,600. That is just impressive.
