Well guys, I am currently on accutane and went to the dermatologist today. When I got my blood work done on monday it came back high. Something in my liver measured abnormally high. So I am off accutane for two weeks while I wait for that to go down. The doc asked me if I am on any weightlifting supplements as well, and I told him whey and creatine. He said he is not concerened with the way, but to stop taking the creatine as a precaution. He doesnt think its causing any problems while im on the accutane but he's just playing it safe. I an so pissed and worried about this, I can't take it til I am off of accutane, which is two months. Will I lose muscle since I am off of creatine? I was seeing some pretty nice gains since i've been on it.

You dont "lose" muscle when you go off of it, you lose muscle volume. Basically all the built up water inside of them go away.

Will it make me look smaller?

You'll be fine. It won't make too much of a difference.

Don't stress it man. You'll lose a little bloat. That's all.

I would think that if you keep lifting and taking whey protein you shouldn't see to much loss in 2 months.

It just makes me mad because I just purchased the new Six-Star Advanced creatine the day before yesterday and I can't even use it for two months.

Don't listen to these people, they are just trying to make you feel better. You will shrivel up and you will get smaller then you were before you even started lifting. Oh and you will grow hair on your palms as well. I have to shave mine every other day now or I chafe during pocket pool.

No Im not saying whey protein does magic, but if he keeps eating lots and taking shakes he should be able you manage without creatine for 2 months.

All you lose when going off creatine is the water retention. It's not going to do any harm whatsoever even if he never takes it again. And you never "need" shakes. All you need is food. Shakes aren't anything special, just a means of easy and quick protein. He won't hinder his progress by some phenomenal degree by going off creatine. It helps, but it doesn't have some horrible affect regarding muscle loss. He doesn't have to change anything, in fact, as long as he already has a good, structured diet plan.

Half of these guys are meat heads. I'm surprised no one told you to do a cycle.
