I am 143 lbs and have been going to the gym frequently for a while and have not been able to put on much weight.

I am going to start cycling creatine and after reading mounds and mounds of information on the internet and whatnot I still have some unanswered questions.

Seems like every other site has something different to say so I figure Ill ask you guys/girls who are actually using it.

Looking to load for 6 days 20gram straight creatine monohydrate 4 times a day then go down to 5 grams a day, stop after 3 weeks of that, take time off to see how my body reacts, rinse and repeat.

I have read about taking it with carbs to help muscle absorbtion but I really don't know what is good.

My real question is what to take this with. I have heard something non acidic but I have also read to take it with OJ, which seems to go against what I am reading.

Basically looking for something I can buy at the grocery store that will do the trick. Unless of course there is something really good at GNC or something to pick up - which I am sure there is.

BTW, I am not trying to get huge, maybe put on 20 lbs and keep it on and tones would be awesome.

If you made it all the way through , thank you for your time!

Do a search on this site. No need to load, just take 5 grams per day. Mix it W/ your post workout dex/protein drink. There's no need to cycle it.

I'll just address everything since i have nothing better to do.

1.Don't cycle, you'll just lose the saturation of the creatine in your muscles, there's nothing advantageous about cycling creatine

2. You don't need to take it with carbs, you can just drink it w/ water if you prefer; if you insist on taking it with carbs, take it with your post workout dextrose/protein drink like djreef said.

3. Most importantly, if you're not gaining EAT MORE. You need to go over your caloric maintanence to gain weight, and if you don't know what that is, keep track of your calories on www.fitday.com. eat at say 3000 calories for a week (or start wherever you want, just an example), if you don't gain, try eating a little more for a week etc. until you're gaining. Creatine and protein aren't magical substances that are going to coerce your muscles into getting bigger.
