Regardless of what you put in there it's good to refrigerate them.

These bars are very good...unless you screw up like I somehow did on my last batch and every bite tasted like a mouthful of powder...

Honey is a nutritious food, it also serves a purpose in binding the ingredients together into a bar.

If for some reason you need to avoid it you can use brown rice syrup. (Available in health food stores.)

I don't have any whey potein and don't have enough money to get any any. Is it ok if I use Opticen instead of Whey?

saia127- ill lend you the 3 scoops.

When I did it I did 5 scoops and it came out really crumbly like there was too much powder and not enough liquid.

The protein blend in opticen is superior to whey. You would need to adjust for the sugar it contains though.
