Pretty solid day food wise yesterday and a nice chest session....I read last night about the keys to gaining mass from the new MD (I know, It was prebed) and it gave this recipe for a shake....

olive oil
whey
pb
honey

Said it was about 1700 and to drink this 3x a day on top of 3 meals....each shake is suppose to be 1700 clean cals.....christ!

I am loving the eggs in my first meal....thanks Davie. Today it was a tb of pb.....2 full eggs, 1 cup egg whites (keep the protein up) 1/2 cup oats........large banana, and a exekiel eenglish muffin with ff cream cheese....all at 830am...next meal is my FLANK!!! and brown rice.........eating is starting to get fun, wonder if I should go out and get some wings tonight....

As for training....it's my 2nd delt day....usually do more of a power routine the 2nd day with hang cleans and high rows.......

What about 10 sets of 10 reps with eavh of the big lifts

10 of 10

Hang Clean
Deadlift
Bench

even though I benched yesterday, would this be a problem?

only you know if its too much, if you are gaining too much fat, then its too much.

Also these threads by JeffreyK should really be in anabolic zone since he is on "HRT"

That doesn't mean 3lbs in one DAY, does it? Because that actually would be bad. ;)

Also, maybe from a "I wanna bulk!" perspective your diet is good, but try to replace some of those simple(r) carbs (toast, English muffins, etc.) with some more fibrous veggie carbs. You can pack down like 2 cups of antioxidant- and vitamin-rich broccoli for every single piece of bread, so give those the ax. Also, can't go wrong with olive oil for like a million reasons.

One last thought - what size can of tuna are you eating that has almost 300 calories? One of mine only has 150?

3lbs of tissue in a day is not going to happen. That is an excess of 12000+ calories. If you put on 3lbs it is water/waste. Stick to it for awhile and see how your weight changes after intial gains.

Protein is overkill, calories sound about right. Shift more calories to fat.

Jeffreyk

hmm..too much protein? SOme say not enough.....cals are ok? fruits and breads are my concern......guess they shouldnt be, huh?

Jeffreyk

its not even 1.5x bodyweight....what should it be? Shifting to fats....

Amazing that you are that lean and you need HRT.

Jeffreyk
03-20-2007, 04:00 PM
what does one have to do with the other....I need HRT CAUSE I'm that lean.......i think the cals are too high for 165lbs, so I'm coming down to 3g......remember no cardio.

Mr. D

well my experience has been people who are low on test naturally cant get leaned out. they always remain in the 14-16% bf range and "soft". they just arent able to burn the fat it requires.

you have a great base, you should be able to add muscle with minimal fat in no time.

This is interesting. Can you explain that a little further?

Mr. D

this is just based on observation of people I have known who have needed HRT. Being lean and muscular is not one of their traits.

Jeffreyk

very very true....low test = fat storage....you can put away more cals the higher your test....

oerall, diet looks good? More cals? banana and bread ok?

Mr. D

with the test, i think you can easily do at least 20xBW and not gain fat. What are your goals?

How long are you going to be on HRT? You might want to eat alot and get as much in terms of muscle gain out of this cycle, then worry about dieting down in the latter stages of the cycle or sometime after the cycle is over. Are they going to be putting you on any kind of PCT?
