Throughout the past couple years, my shoulders have been really giving me trouble. I'll recover, go for a few weeks, trying to take it easy on them, and then more problems. A lot of the time it's more painful for them to bench than to overhead press, for some reason.
Could someone explain the issues involved here? Is this the same as "joint problems?" Could bringing up my rotators /scapulae help me out? Am I simply overtraining my anterior deltoids?
Most importantly, how the hell do I stop having these problems? I'm really into boxing, and having big, strong, powerful shoulders is pretty important. I want my shoulders to grow, and I know I have to train them a lot. I really want my military/push press/bench press to go up together if at all possible. Can active recovery/GPP work help me out here, or am I likely just training them too much already to where that's a bad move?
What if I just dropped my overall volume way down, but increased my shoulder work for awhile and just got them used to a lot of extra work? Would that work? (That's an idea I kind of ripped from here (http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle.do?article=206reps2))
Ugh... so many questions
