View Full Version : calorie intake for a bigger girl, grams of protein needed and such

my girlfriend wants to eat right and change her body. there are probably many threads like this one but i need some ideas on where to start.

for myself i eat as much clean proteins as i can, cause im natrually very skinny. as for my friend i need to figure out what will work best for her bigger frame. she wants to lose weight.

so far i told her she needs to work out 3 times a week, something like my routine but im not sure what kind of diet she needs. how much protein per body lb? how many calories is she allowed? im just not sure how it works for bigger people...

whats a good carbs menu for her? like carbs and starch wise?

should i get her to take body measurments maybe? if so, where on the body?

She should have the same needs as you as far as fat/prot is concerned. 1g prot for every lb of LBM and .5 grams of fat for every lb of LBM. Get her to track her cals for a week on www.fitday.com just the way shes been eating at whatever weight she is. Then cut that number by 20%. Tada.
