Anyone else hate raw avocados as much as me? I know how good they are for monounsaturated fats, so I eat them daily, but I have to bite a chunk and immediately swallow it whole with a big chug of water.

For even greater taste, cut fresh cilantro on top, maybe a few green onions and the last piece of the puzzle: Grounded cumin.

Careful with the guacamole... a lot of the restaurant and store-bought guacamole has a bunch of extra unhealthy **** mixed in.

Store-bought sucks anyway. Homemade is where it's at. :)

I actually saw on tv the other day, some "nutritionist" comparing the amount of fat in avocatos and the amount of fat in a milkshake! Then telling their patient not to eat either. I got so angry! lol
But you do lots of stuff with them, look up some recipes.

Guys, thanks for the great responses. I want their nutritional value, and they are relatively cheap. I'll try these things and get back to you! If all else fails, I'll just keep chuggin' 'em down.

If you really hate avocadoes, wouldn't it be fine to substitute olive oil to get your healthy fats in? Personally, I love avocadoes, so its a non issue.

Of course. Avocados do provide a great source of fibre though.

Boo-urns to you. Avocados are delicious.
avacados taste great with a strawberry dressing in the center where the pit is after you cut it in half. Also I like rice vinegar and sometimes balsalmic vinegar.. try it trust me

In my neck of the woods (Texas), you can get the small Haas avocados for 2 for $1, every few weeks 3 for $1 and the occasional sale will bring 4 for $1. Thats not expensive.
the large ones will run you anywhere from $1 to $2 each.
