Yup, the dead lift master himself at the gym last week. I was wearing my ALN tee and he just comes up to me and asked if I used their supps, then told me to say hi to them (chris). It was pretty cool **** for sure. I was pretty pumped the rest of the day. Who would have known that a guy with his accomplishments would be lifting at a Planet Fitness where I am from!! I was hoping to talk with him a bit more but he was busy doing his thing, maybe next time.

Check out his INTERVIEW (http://www.atlargenutrition.com/deadlift_specialist_brent_howard_interview.php) here.

I think he looks a little leaner in person. Damn guy is massive though!

Very cool he went out the way to say hello. To bad about the injuries he's had.

Yeah he seems very cool. Hopefully get to see him again...ive got some deads today so would be cool if he was around to sneak a peak, since im one of the few at this gym that actually do them im sure he would take notice.

I read that hes had a few injuries and is dealing with one now, sucks.

That's awesome, Eric. He would be high up on the list of guys I would like to meet. I think my personal wish list of living lifting legends I'd like to meet would have to include:

Ed Coan
Bill Kazmeier
Sgt. Rock
Louie Simmons
Brad Gillingham

There's more but those guys are at the top.

You know, when I think about it I am really lucky. I have met and spoken with everyone on the list sans Bill. I didn't say much to Brad as I was bumming some chalk (or it could have been a different Gillingham brother) from him for our deadlift exhibition at the Olympia (they had the chalk for their GNC Grip Gauntlet).

ChrisThat's awesome...and I would consider you lucky. I've had the priviledge of meeting a few big name lifters of the present and past (namely Gus Rethwisch, Tommy Harrison, Robert Vick, Becca Swanson, Roger Ryan to name a few), but I'd still kill to meet some of the people I mentioned.
