I want to get a feel for how many calories most people are taking in at breakfast and possibly get some new ideas as well. Post up!:study:

I'm cutting, so I'll usually have about 500ml of egg whites (I buy it liquid form, equivalent to 50g protein), and a fruit e.g. banana or an apple.

Do you just drink the egg whites?

It really depends on what you are doing

3 weetbix, milk, protein powder, banana, kiwi fruit, yogurt, 1 toast with margarine and peanut butter, 1 toast with margarine and Vegemite, coffee.

If I'm feeling hungry I add another 2 pieces of toast.

So there you go, protein, fat, carbs, calories and caffeine - ready to do the office thing.

Do you just drink the egg whites?

That'd be brutal. Nah, I cook it in a saucepan first.

A thread that received 52 entries about what people eat for their breakfast was discussed last week.

Please click on this link:
http://wannabebigforums.com/showthread.php?t=94167

This thread can be found searching the term "breakfast" or simply navigating to the second page of the "Diet and Nutrition" forum section and scrolling down to the appropriate topic.

In this thread, you will find a variety of responses as to what WBB members eat and enjoy each morning. I hope you find "some new ideas" and "get a feel for how many calories most people are taking in at breakfast" in the aforementioned thread.

I also hope this answers any further questions you have.

Best,
Andrew

I've got a pretty slow metabolism and never use to eat breakfast but ever since I started seriously training, I've got into the habit of eating breakfast

I was just fixing 1/2 cup of oats (before cooking), then mixing in a scoop of nitrean and having a small glass of orange juice (a lite version, sweetened with splenda).

Anyway, I think my metabolism is increasing because now I still feel a little hungry afterward. Thinking I should add some eggs into the mix? If so, how many (full eggs, just the whites, etc)

Roddy, do you mean that your breakfast contains 3000 calories or that you consume 3000 calories daily? I did some quick mental math, and that "weight gain shake" would have to have about 1500 calories in it to make up the difference. Mind clarifying?

My breakfast usually conists of a bagel with peanu butter ~ 500 calories. Then I eat some more a couple hours later (another ~500 calories) so I'm hitting 1k by lunch.
I don't like breakfast.
When I get my Nitrean in, though, then I'll be hitting up the morning shake :)

Right now I am cutting. Breakfast = 2 scoops Nitrean/12 oz milk/1/3 tablespoon peanut butter

Few hours later a little cereal.

Oh yeah...my typical breakfast...

Usually about 4-5 scrambled eggs wrapped in a grande tortilla with a boatload of cheese and topped off with pepper and salsa verde. And along with that, usually a huge glass of milk, some fruit, and some high fiber bread...don't forget about the butter.

I don't have enough time to make it much more because I'm on the run. I have my preworkout meal about an hour later.

I weigh 195.

Water? :)

Speaking of... breakfast as of late has been a glass of water. Second breakfast is two scoops of whey in water.

I need to pick up the pace. I'm at 1600 calories due to a complete lack of motivation to eat, feeling miserable, and maintaining. I prefer maintaining on 2300, not 16. I just have to find a way to remind my body of that.
