I have a friend who is about 5' 6ish, 120-130lbs. Little guy, low body fat, probably under 8%. One day I saw him wolf down a couple giant burritos in about 5 minutes, so I asked him if he eats that way all the time or if he was just hungry. He said that is how he eats. I asked him why he doesn't gain weight, and he said he used gear in high school and now he doesn't produce enough test to gain weight. I took that with a grain of salt, not knowing if he saw a doctor and found this out, but chalked it up to not consistently eating enough to gain.

If you use gear during development, is it possible to experience a permanent drop in test once you stop?

even if he wasn't producing enough test to gain muscle mass, he would still gain weight if he was consuming enough cals. it might be mostly fat, but it would still be weight gained.

Could he have possibly ****ed up his thyroid and made it overactive?

Man don't listen to skinny people who say they eat like that all the time it's a lie. They feel like they eat all the time and they really don't. My cousin is the exact same way he's one skinny basterd.

The problems with these guys 90% of the time is they don't eat often enough.

Yeah, I thought about all three of those points. The other thing is he's an extreme alcoholic, so maybe he has nodules or Graves' disease, something that caused hyperthyroidism.

About the last post, the only times I hang out with this guy, he eats a ****load of Jack in the Box or whatever I make, but yeah I don't generally see him during the week so maybe he only eats once or twice during the day. I mostly just wanted to know if what he said was even possible, that your body can stop producing enough test to make gains just from upsetting the hormonal balance while you're still growing.

its definitely possible. however, its impossible to not gain some sort of weight if you're over your maintenance level of cals.

exactly, he probably ISN'T over his maintenance level of cals. Look at when BCC bulked, he was at 9000 cals. He dieted for that show in Indy 2 years ago at 5000+ cals.

5000+ cals would make me into a kirby twin.

Probably:

Naturally fast metabolism anyway.
Thinks he eats a lot more than he does. A few big meals don't add up as much as eating ALL day long. I used to think I ate a lot when I weighed 100lbs.

I have a friend who has hypothyroid or maybe its hyperthyroid. But anyways he can't gain weight AT ALL!

It's hyper, and your friend could gain weight if he tracked cals and incremented his intake until he started gaining.

True but then Chase was 100lbs heavier and likely all of that lean muscle tissue!

Given that, he should track his calories just to make sure.

If having low test prevented weight gain, all women would be shredded.
