View Full Version : Bulk or Cut ?

Hey guys, just got a few questions. I am 6ft, 20 years old, male, and weight aprox. 175 pounds. I am just starting with the WBB1 routine and am confused whether or not I should bulk or cut first. I am thinking cut because I seem to have some extra weight in the stomach/chest area. I have what seems like some extra fat around the nipple area on my chest....would cutting help reduce this or is this just genetic? Thanks a lot for any help, I have been trying to read the stickies which have been very helpful.

Follow WBB1, track your cals on fitday.com.

I would just start lifting and see what happens. Don't cut or bulk yet.

Alright I will do that. How many aprox calories should I be looking at?

You need to find your maintence cals. If you have no idea, then for most people its 14-16xBW, depending on your metabolism, which you should know by now. If you thinkg you are in the middle, then of course go with 15. Eat that amount for a few weeks and see what happens.

Keep in mind you need to eat at a MINIMUM 1g/LBM protein and 0.5g/LBM of fat.

LBM = Bodyweight - bodyfat
bodyfat = Bodyweight*bodyfat%
