I have been bulking for a few months and have gone from 185 to 210lbs, and I now want to start cutting. I have a rough idea on how much I need to cut, but I am more worried about losing the progress I have gained (example: bench repps 4x6 205lb-235lb). I am consuming roughly 3000 calories a day. Is there a theory to lift in a certain manner to help facilitate lifting during a cutting period? Because I have to tried to cut before and I felt weak (and my workouts suffered), and this causes me to abandon ship and bulk again.

I've just bumped my calories down 500 a day.. and continued to lift heavy. You most likely won't gain any strength... but you should be able to keep what you have. Make sure you're getting enough protein in your cut too.
