As of a couple days ago, I decided it was time to end my bulk - finally! Below are some pics from last night along with some pics of what I looked like before I hit the gym again last June.

While I'm not 100% sure the before pics are from exactly 10 months ago, I am sure that they're within 5 pounds of my starting bodyweight.

Starting weight: 170-173 range
Current weight: 219-224 range
Current measurements and estimated change, for what it's worth:
-Chest: 45", up about 4.5"
-Thighs: 26", up about 2.5"
-Calves: 16", up over 1"
-Arms: 17", up about 1.5"
-Stomach: 38", up about 4.5" <--- hopefully this is about all that drops on the cut!

I know I'm a relative newbie still, but I am happy with what I've acheived in the past 10 months and wouldn't have accomplished much at all without this forum. Thanks everyone and I look forward to many more bulks and cuts alongside you all!

On to the pics... I can't believe I'm posting the befores...

Thanks Chris! Nice hearing that from a veteran like you. Very cool.

Thanks.. and boy do I hope so. I'm a bit worried I'll just go back to the 'before' look, even though deep down I know that won't happen.

Looks like a lot of progress was made.

Only 5 more years and some severe genetic alterations and I'll look half as good as you, haha. Thanks man.

Good work! Definitely visible improvement.

Thanks Mike. I remember you were one of the first people to give me advice when I started here! Good advice... if only I could remember what it was now... lol

I hope so - I would really prefer not to cut more than 15 pounds, but we'll see what the mirror says.

Great progress.Keep at it!

Oooo look who posted in my thread! I feel cool. Thanks Sylvia.

RBB, Sidior, ddegroff, Stump, and Mik:

Thank you for your comments. Words like that from folks that have been as successful as all of you really motivate me to keep going at 110%!

You guys have no idea how excited I am to start my cut! Well, maybe you do!

Quick update - halfway through my cut

I snapped a back double bi a few minutes ago and threw together a quick comparison of my progress in the past 7 weeks or so against a pic from above. I've lost about 10 pounds, which is half of what I expect to get rid of.

How's it looking? I haven't lost strength...yet...

My back doesn't hold as much fat so it's tough to see my bf % I suppose - I'm a good 15% still. I'd like to drop down to 11-12% before starting a slow bulk again.

Although man, let me tell you - it always is appealing! Loooove bulking. Cutting hasn't been too bad so far, although I'm just running a simple deficit at this point.

I hate bulking making so much food all the time it gets annoying I feel like I spend half my day making or eating food it's ridiculous. Also when I'm on a bulk I get the worst stomach pains ever if I let my self get hungry. When I cut the stomach pains from hunger aren't bad at all and I don't have to make so much food and I save money.

I just edited the post I made earlier to include a front shot as well, after being on the left.

Any guesses on body fat? I'm flexed in all 4 pictures.

My guess is 18% before and 15% now. Thoughts?

Actually, apparently when my mom and sister visited my uncle about a month ago, they showed him some pictures and he didn't recognize me. Kinda creepy, since we've always been pretty close! I'll see him over the summer so I'll be interested to hear what he says in person.

EDIT: and thanks guys!

Thanks... 14% sounds great. I'd like to get to 10%, so every percent closer I am now is about 2 pounds less I have to lose! I really don't want to have to drop below 200.

Thank you, sir.
