way to be a jackass. i'm not ******ed, i've just never heard of the city.

Wayne, are you guys expecting a lot of entries in the Light division?

04-25-2007, 08:27 PM
Wayne, just wondering, but don't you think you ought to up the weight on the log clean and press? Most LWs I've talked to put up well over 165. Just wondering man. Sounds like it's going to be a blast.

mis read, deleted.

Those weight classes are horrible.

155lbs vs. 190lbs? Yeah, guess whose gonna win.

114, 123, 132, 148, 165, 181, 198, 220, 242, 275, 308, Super

Just a suggestion.

Westside, stop making foolish suggestions. Learn about Strongman before you start talking. Those weight classes will work just fine. It is your suggestion that is horrible.

The log clean and press would be when you clean the log from the ground then do an overhead press correct?

And key loading is what exactly, i've found only vague descriptions online.

04-25-2007, 08:42 PM
Keg Loading. Much like what you've seen on TV. Probably to different platform heights, but of course it really depends on what Wayne wants.

Oi..i'm ******ed. I thought it said key loading, not keg loading. No wonder i was all drooling on myself and **** thinking i was ******ed.

Edit: I figured taylorsville is about 3 and a half hours away..that may be do-able. Im going to have to start working on my olympic lifts the next couple days to see where i'm at.

Guys the weights are a little on the low side. This is not a pro strongman event. The meet is a blast and gives guys a chance to get thier feet wet in strongman. It is held during the county fair so at times the crowd is pretty big. i think we had about 25 lifters last year but the weight classes were a little different. Should be better this year! Here is some local news coverage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncDSGOOlkrQ

The log seems light I know but it is not a barbell it is an actuall log. I try to make it so most lifters can get a couple reps in and the freaks put on a show for the crowd. The kegs will be different weights and loaded into a dump truck ( no need to be gentle) If you guys need I can post some pics of some of the equipment. Hope some of you can make it.
