I love salmon, but I have a problem with eating the skin. I could do it if not doing so would mean wasting a lot of good protein, but does it matter? Is it worth eating the skin?

I never eat the skin. Don't get me wrong, I'll eat things I don't like the taste of if they provide some nutritional benefit, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

Didn't Jim Carrey do that in Cable Guy? LOL. Only it was chicken skin, I think.

I think you're right, he did!
Either way earns my respect, though.

As long as fish has been properly descaled, I don't mind the skin.

Damn right. And if cooked properly, it's mostly just crispy and salty.
