View Full Version : How's my cut goin...

So I've been cutting for quite a few weeks now. I'm down abotu 15 - 20 pounds from 205~ to about 185 - 190. I've been taking it slow, and I guess it's paid off so far. I've actually gained a teensy bit in most of my lifts, so I haven't lost any strength, at all. Legs are down a good inch or more, but I carried a lot of fat in my thighs so I expected them to shrink. Arms are still a measly 15". Puny, but I guess I'm happy since they haven't shrunken up from the cut so far.

Anyways, here's the before when I was around 200 pounds. These were taken maybe a month before I started the cut, so I was even fatter.

I decided to try a video again for my present state instead of a bunch of pictures. I hadn't lifted at all today, so this is un-pumped and about an hour after I ate dinner :p (Angle and lighting are both poop but hopefully it still looks ok.)

Quads are looking mighty thick, Invain. The cut seems to be doing you well. Keep at it, bro!

Looking thick as hell - which is a damned nice way to look at the end of a CUT! Agreed on the quads too - nice work!

You've done a really great job! Were you just running a caloric deficit to cut, or were you carb cycling as well?

Wow! You've been an inspiration to me ever since I saw your first pics, now that I'm going on a cut, it looks like you'll be used as inspiration for me again.

Nope, nothin fancy. Just eating clean and in a deficit. I'm not done yet; still carrying some fat around my abs, but hopefully in another 5 or 10 pounds I'll be good.

holy christ Vain...your back i think has the biggest improvement as far as leanness...lat spread was pretty badass. Nice work..i can only hope mine goes as well (not counting on it though lol)

I am pretty happy with my back, and suprised at how my dl numbers continue to fly even while I'm on my cut. I really hope I can keep it up like I have so far without hitting a point where my strength starts going poop. I'll feel like killing myself if I start going backwards, cut or no cut.

What do your thighs measure? (Flexed, just below the glutes)

They're looking huge - I'm just not sure if it's your lower bodyfat or pure size. Good work again.

Yeah rocksteady, they look at lot different after the fat peels off. I carry quite a bit of fat in my legs so after my bulk they looked like big logs.

I've taken a little break from cutting right now and I'm having fun following no particular diet. I'ma take another week or two off and then try the Ultimate Diet 2.0 to hopefully get where I wanted to be.

Just out of curiosity did you stall? Most people, myself included, jump into something more complicated just to say they are doing it.

Maybe wait until you actually need that type of diet? Just my take on that, either way, you are gonna look great once you finish the cut.
