View Full Version : I'm on a diet similar to PSMF: Did I break my diet?

Okay, this morning I had some chicken cooked in olive oil. 10 minutes per side. But then I ran out of chicken, and my mom had bought some KFC chicken last night. I took off all the skin and coating and only ate the breast. Will that be okay for my diet? I felt pretty guilty eating it, so I put two scoops of whey in some water and drank that with it.

im sure thats fine. again as long as it isn't a regular occurance, one small thing like thats shouldn't affect the diet.

I'm hoping not. I've only had more than 100 carbs one day in two weeks, and my fats are very very low. Thanks for popping in.

since you are on VLCD diet, why did you add the extra whey?You dont think your kfc breasts were enough of your regular serving of protein?

Feeling guilty and adding more calories doesnt make sense to me.

Well, I won't eat until later tonight, and I have a workout in less than an hour. I usually have a little more before workout.

If you read the UD2.0 book at all (not sure if you have) you might know that some carbs are actually better than no carbs. When the body is starving, getting a small amount of carbs can really help muscle loss and spare the body from breaking down proteins from the muscle. So, as far as Lyle had mentioned, getting 50-100g of carbs is probably better than getting 0-15g. I know you are on PSMF, but UD2.0 diet days are pretty similar. Anyway, don't sweat the small stuff.

I absolutely hate the PSMF diet. I can't eat anything I like, but as of now I've lost seven or eight pounds in 2 weeks.
