If I was going to do speed squats with 50% of my max... Is that my raw max or with gear? Mind you all the gear I use right now is knee wraps and a belt.

With gear. Being that you don't really use gear, I'd go with a 60-65%. 50% is generally used more for advanced lifters and a percentage of their geared total.
