My arch is a little bigger, I think, and I also tuck my feet and get on my toes. Think about getting off your toes and driving with your heels to get a solid belly up. thats a good 2" ROM taken off with a good belly up!

What's the purpose of having such a big arch?

For a power lifter to limit the range of movement (ROM), so the distance the bar travels is limited. Having a solid arch form also helps in overall upper back tightness, which is essential in having a big bench.
