I'm looking into getting a (reasonable priced) bumper plate set for my garage gym.

Anyone have any experience with ironcompany.com?

I found this package deal on bumper plates with shipping included Bumper Plate Package Deal (http://www.ironcompany.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=240) and was wondering if anyone had any opinion on the website, or the brand of bumper plate (KRAIBURG)?

Thanks,
-Mike

I don't know about the website, but I've used that brand before - they were fine. Definately don't forget to figure shipping when you are shopping for an order like that...

Thanks for the reply Sensei.
This set includes:
2-10 lb. plates
2-15 lb. plates
2-25 lb. plates
2-35 lb. plates
2-45 lb. plates
Total: 260lbs
$549.00 and it says shipping is included. I thought this was kind of cheap since the price includes shipping, but since you have actually used the brand before, I am a little less concerned.

Anyone else have any input?

yes if that is including shipping it seems pretty cheap to me. I have priced them before and I dont remember anything that reasonable.

I always wanted to find a high school that was getting new equip and try to buy their old stuff. that way you could get a platform too.

i would just get a couple 45s, then if you add weight it will always be smaller in diameter then the 45 so it doesnt touch the floor

This would work if my warm-up weight was 135 for all Olympic lifts.
