What are the best numbers for a cut while avoiding muscle loss. From what I've read:
1g/lbm - protein
.5g/lbm - fat
What is the ideal amount of carbs and calories for lbm?

Basically u need to take your maintence cals (the amount you can eat without gaining or losing weight) and drop that by 20%. If you have no idea what your maintence cals are, most people can use 15 x BW. A 20% redux of that is 12 X BW. So start of 12 x BW. Fill up the protein and fat as listed above and then use the rest of your cals for protein,fat,carbs as you like.
If you find yourself losing too much weight, more than 1lb a week at 12xBW then up the cals a little bit. If not losing enough at 12xBW then lower cals a little bit.
