i narrowed down my squat suit decisions to the 1) metal ipf squatter (http://www.flexcart.com/members/elitefts/default.asp?m=PD&cid=203&pid=721) or 2) metal ipf viking squatter (http://www.flexcart.com/members/elitefts/default.asp?m=PD&cid=203&pid=880).

im a close stance squatter (medium to be exact) and everyone here and other forums have had success with metal suits. this will be my first suit. does anyone know the difference between the two (besides the obvious; price)?

Viking is a lot stiffer. I love the viking material, but if it's your first suit, go with the regular metal squatter.

when you say stiffer, do you mean like the feeling of denim material?

Not even close to that stiff. The Viking material emmulates the 'stopping power' of a canvas suit, but you also get the 'spring' from it being a poly suit. If you're undecided, go with the regular. The viking material can be tough to hit parallel at the beginning.

Not really. I'd recommend Elite anyways. Their costomer service is 2nd to none.
