View Full Version : Store-bought protein bars?
guys, i have a question about the protein or creatine bars that can be bought online or in stores.
What do the manufacturers put in these nutrition bars so they don't need to be refridgerated? Like, what do they use as the base? Any ideas?
anyone? someone on here has to know.

A lot of them have high fructose corn syrup, I'm sure that's a factor.
oh, and tons of sugar.

I've bought one once and it was pure ****. I swear they scooped up **** from under a dog and put it into a bar. It was chewey and dry and just tasted like ****.
well, i am in the process of making a nutrition (pre and post) to sell on the market. have everything down except for the preservative part

How about sending some of us a free sample p0ng? ;)
I'm thinking they use guar gum, oat fiber and/or beet fiber to stabilize it. I have a Promax wrapper with me, that's what it looks like helps to keep it all intact.
Unfortunately this one also have high fructose corn syrup. :( It's cheap because of it though...
