Here are a few vids from our training last night. Southside Gym moved locations and fortunately we did not skip a beat.


This is my 550 raw. I strained the ligaments in both my wrists strongman training last Saturday, badly in my left. So tonight I just wanted to make a clean 550 so I could count on it as an opener for IPA Nationals. I took the rest of the night off, hopefully I can get back to full training next week. Seriously, does this lift look like a comfortable clean opener?

Now this is Rob's 820 in the shirt. It's ridiculous, he's so strong. The student is going to pass his teacher at the IPA Nationals. Nice lifting brother. (Watch the volume guys, I swore. Sorry I could not figure how to edit it out)

Your 545 from 20/4 look alot cleaner IMO, you had a good long pause for it. Strong ass hell Vinny.

It was a great lift. Keep after it. And after watching the video again, it was very clean. The pause looked fine to me. Easy openner. Great lift.

I am 5'8" about 315 right now. I think Rob "Tee" is about 5'11"-6' and weighs 342.

I'm also 20 years older than you. Rob and I train pretty much alike.

Monday
DE Bench Day=
Speed Bench 9x3
Moderate Tri exercise 5x5
Heavy shoulder press work up to 1x1-3
Moderate back exercise 5x5-10
Moderate bicep exercise 4x5-10
*sometimes a light pushdown
*sometimes a light rear delt

Tuesday and Wednesday some GPP work

Friday
ME Bench Day=
Alternating bench exercises work up to max effort
board presses 3x1-5
Moderate back exercise 5x5-10
Light rear delts 3x15
Light biceps 3x10-15

Saturday
Core Training
Squat or deads rep work
Grip training

Strongman training

i do similar also, what are your guys favorite exersizes for tris and back? im a fan of pushdowns/skulls and pulldowns

tris rolling DB ext or pushdowns
back i love high rows with any bar

that looked great, i would try to keep your legs tighter as your hips seemed to move a bit, it looked like your butt stayed down, but depends on the judges in there mod, you seemed to have enough strength to smoke that just need to keep your legs tighter.

i am 5 11 345 and very hot looking (lol)
wow you through that up there like it was on a spring, good press.

DUDE if you have never been to southside gym now is definatly the time to come rob toninni and frank gomes have taken it over and moved locations.

For triceps I like barbell extensions (worked up to 315 for 5 last time) and close grip board work. For back I like rowing-barbell, dumbell, and sometimes machines. I do pulldowns to the belly with lighter weight for back when I am pretty beat up.

Thanks for the response. Yeah the 550 was with strained ligaments in my wrists. Hopefully they will be healed by meet time and the 550 will be even easier.

Rob's meet pr is 771. Yeah, he's going to smash it. I see upper 8's as being no problem. Who knows, maybe we can even creep into the next digit.
