Seriously though, try crossfit.com. Lots of Mil/LEO using crossfit. It rocks, and it will make you tough. I've been doing it for maybe 7 months now, and I'm in the best shape of my life. Stronger, bigger, and leaner than ever, and I've been lifting for 20 years.


Oh yeah, and run, run, run!

One simple workout session called "The Short Card".

Back when I was an active duty Marine, we did this every Wednesday and most of us couldn't walk the rest of the week because of it.

I'm at work right now so I don't have it. I'll try and post it in the next few days.

Ever done 100 four count flutter kicks in jungle boots? (basically 200 flutter kicks with 3 lb weights on your feet)

Aside from the short card I would suggest running, pull ups, push ups, and crunches. You'll run and do push ups more than anything during boot but you'll need the crunches and the pull ups for the pft.

I been out of the Marine Corp for about a year now. All you need to do is run like crazy and build up you back for getting 20 pull-ups.

Agreed. In boot camp you will always feel hungry. You will always burn more calories than your eating. I left boot camp at 125lb.

It makes no sense that the army would want to starve its recruits.. if they wants stronger soldiers they need sustenance to build strength upon surely.

I s'pose shooting guns doesnt take much strength tho -.-

The Marine Corp doesnít starve recruits. If you join underweight they will actually put you on double rations. The average recruit will lose out on food. The training is very physically demanding. You would probably need to consume 4000 calories most days to actually keep up with the work. You have to remember this is Boot Camp. The whole purpose is to toughen you up mentally and physically. Itís not their job to give recruits buffets just because you do so much work. This is your rite of passage so you have to deal with eating the bare minimum food requirement until you graduate.
