title says it all, i wanted to overload my back today so i did rack pulls about 3 inches above the knee, i could of did more but really what is the need lol.

i guess its not that impressive considering the ROM but this is alot of weight.

**4 100's 1 45, 1 35 each side**

That's a lot of damn plates Stumpy. Like I said in your journal, you must be built for this ****. 2-3" above my knees leaves me plenty of distance to pull. Damn short arms.

haha, im not that big myself, but the pull was like u said a good 8 inches.

Awesome rob, freaking awesome. Do you find you get much carryover from overload lifts like that?

Beast
05-22-2007, 09:18 PM
Absolutely sick!

The strap tension didn't hurt your wrists at all?

RBB

Stump..I feel bad for the gorilla that ever tries to pick a fight with you.

crazy lifts man..very impressive. I imagine you'll be hitting MASSIVE numbers (moreso than your current ones, which are out of this world as it is) by the time you hit 18. keep it up!

Dude Rob, me and my g/f just watched that pull and it's freaking nasty. She says "good job!" when I explained what it meant.

Stumprrp
05-22-2007, 10:49 PM
Thank you all SO much..

god damn i love this site you guys make me so happy haha, the partial lifts have benefited me TREMENDOUSLY, for example i was at 405 x 4 for some time in the squat, i added heavy partials and got it up to 7 reps in a few weeks.

i reccomend them to everyone, bud jefferies has a whole dvd on them and hes one of the strongest men in the country (1000 lb bottom position squat RAW!!!)

once again, thank you all, the straps ripped up my wrist.

I'd be prouder if you can do it without the wraps. Nice tho, borat style.

i was gonna say the same thing. if you could youd have one heck of a grip built up.

Stumprrp
05-23-2007, 06:22 AM
not many people can hold 1005 lbs without straps lol maybe in 5 years.

ya andy bolton thats about it for now.

you still have a heck of a back to finish the pull like that.

Chris Rodgers
05-23-2007, 01:28 PM
I still don't understand how moving that kind of weight does not bother your bum hammy or whatever you got going on there. That is absolutely insane though! Now stop doing those garbage above the knee rack pulls. :)

Chris Rodgers

Benedict Magnusson's grip is probably better. He literally has no setup when he pulls. Just runs up, grabs it and rips it. Bolton at least sets up, with wrist wraps, and gets a firm grip before pulling. Either way, both men have freaky grip strength.

Stumprrp

Gunshow
05-23-2007, 09:18 PM
holy ****. i did 405x 2 tonight, quite a bit lower than that tho, and i thought my back was going to break lol, i cant imagine having a half ton in my hands, nice lift regardless of the ROM, lol you should have filmed until the weights stopped bouncing, looked like they were gunna go for about 10 minutes

Stumprrp
05-23-2007, 09:20 PM
haha they did bounce for quite a while.

WestsideWarrior

I can't keep my eyes off this vid, after seeing this for the first time, I went to the gym for the first time in 2 weeks and popped off 315x3 (at knee)

You're a beast stumpster! And yeah, it looked like that end weight was gonna pop off like a bullet. lol

Invain
05-23-2007, 10:24 PM
This is wayyy off topic, but Westside, why do you have gear numbers in your sig, and why are your geared lifts the same as your raw lifts...

WestsideWarrior
05-23-2007, 10:28 PM
I'm just lazy and put them in there, lmao

Edit: changed
