Hi im fairly new to lifting and just wanted some advice on suppliments.
i have just brought a suppliment made by body fortress called muscle and weight gainer, will this make me put on fat or just muscle mass or both,
i am currently training every other day doing a full body work out (i was told to do this to gain more strength before starting a split routine) iv been training like this for around 3 weeks spending around a hour and a half in the gym cheers james

Well, supplements are not necessary to build muscle. Most of us use protein supplements as a matter of convenience and to reach our protein requirements for the day that cant always be achieved with whole foods.

To build muscle, you have to be in caloric surplus. With a caloric surplus, you will build muscle but unfortunately fat will come along.

Full body workouts are good and you dont neccessarily have to move over to a split.

What is your diet like?Do you track what you eat?
What are the specifics of your routine, in terms of movements and reps/sets?

i dont think my diet is that great monday-friday i have scrambled egg(3eggs)baked beans on two toast for breakfast, a chicken and salad sandwich and a apple for lunch and a vaired dinner normaly chicken or lamb or beef with potatos and peas but it does vairy as i get what im given for dinner i try and eat another piece of fruit after dinner, saturday and sunday my diet is nearly the same but i eat at defferent times as im not at work. iv been eating like this for a while now and i am in the routine, i take a high protine shake before and after each work out which contains mainly whey protins,

My routine starts with some chest exercises then arm back and leg exercises i do around 3-4 sets of each exersice starting light doing 10 reps then abit heavier doing 10 reps then adding more weight doing around 8 reps then adding more weight and doing around 6-8 reps i try to make my last set heavy enough for me to only be able to lift around 6 reps, depending on how i feel i mite go and do some more chest or arm exercises before i leave the gym,

How does that sound am i doing anything wrong
