i have been lifting weights for about a year and now realise how important protein is to building muscle so i have started taking whey protein for the last 6 months.I have tried every protein powder available,cheap,expensive,isolate,concentrate,soya etc. The problem is when i take the powder i am plagued with the most fierce farts,the type that would strip paint. I always feel as if i am going to have diarrhea. It has got so bad everyone in my work has started to stay away from me, my long time :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :strong: girlfriend future wife has threatened to split up from me, i cant take a five minute trip in a car or bus because it is so Embarrassing.
I have tried uping my dose,lowering my dose,activated charcoal,diet changes "Everything",but to no avail.
This has effected me so much i am considering giving up lifting weights. I had previously lost 4 stone with exercise,diet, But this seems to be the nail in the coffin for me.

Can anyone help, Is protein necessary,can i get enough protein through eating whole foods?

yes you can,cottage cheese,eggs,lean meats,tuna,milk etc...
