Here is my Best competition Bench Press to date 523 lbs at 213. This lift was done at the 2007 NASA Kentucky State meet. If you look closely you will see the JT Hall is one of the spotters. :omg:

What meet and fed was it? Thats a big number in the 220 lb class.

most pl'ers dont really do high reps for the big 3... generally most dont see a benefit.

Have you learned that from being involved in powerlifting a long time or did you just assume?

I think you are both right. A low rep high weght set taxes your cns more and allows oyu to adapt to the physical stress needed for a max effort.
I have leaned this myself through experience and reading, but experience is the biggest teacher.:read: :thumbup: :strong:

Sorry bro I just saw this. Thanks. It was at the WABDL meet in Collinsville,IL . I was actually in the 242's I weighed in at 230 fully dressed ( boots and jeans) and had just gotten done eating. I could have made 220 easy ( I was about 223 that morning ) but just didn't feel like cutting.

Again though nice lift

I hear ya. I don't cut weight. The only thing I do is not eat before I weigh in. :strong:
