This was my 3rd session and a PR! My weakness has always been off the floor, so I decided to work on these for a bit prior to taking 700+ for a raw ride. Anyway, here is the video, I am totally raw (no belt, straps, suit, etc.):

Jesus! Strong ass lift Chris! But that bothered my back just watching... is that not painful at all for you? Looks like you have quite the bend in your back.

Thanks all!

I think I have the 700 in me right now. I just wanted to do some work on the platform deads first. The other issue will be the hook grip. I will have to make sure it is not the limiting factor.

Stronger, but I don't like the feel it gives me in my lower back.

ah i see, it does feel different for some, i will admit any double overhand grip is more comfortable.

you know I just watched this again and it looks like the left side came up faster than the right side at first

was that the case Chris?

I'd hate to get off balance pulling that kind of weight!

Don't worry, it is by design. I train to lift that way just like the great Bob Peoples.

Rounded upper back ain't a bad thing per se', as long as you've trained for it. It's when the lumbar rounds is when you're screwed. Awesome pull Chris. It looks like your hips came up a little quick. I'm thinking if you work on the fluidity of the pull you'll have 700 no problem.
