im 217, 5'10, used to life like a beast, got injured, fell off, got fat, trying to reform... i know what i need to eat for the most part, but if someone could help out with the calories per day plus a good diet suggestion for someone who works IN A GYM 12+ hours daily... thanks

Start tracking (www.fitday.com), find your maintenance calories... Work from there.

actually im not a complete moron. i've obtained quite a bit of knowledge over the years... but ive been away from the lifestyle for a while...

Utilize fitday to create a diet you can stand eating pretty regularly that is based on the 50/20/30 Macro split.
