Not every max effort attempt is a good one.
Should have, could have, means nothing when you loose concentration and fail to execute. Case in point...

Every max counts HB, you should know that :) As long as the effort was there, even if the lift was failed, the CNS adapts to the load. Good stuff.

I have no doubt I have that lift. It came down to a lack of concentration, failure to execute. Seems to be a recurring theme of mine.
