View Full Version : I did it! 600 lb unequipped bench at IPA World's

I put in the hardest 16 week training cycle of my life. I pushed my weight up 15lbs to 328 during that time on a frame that was just about busting from the seams to begin with. This was a proud accomplishment for me. Thanks to the entire SFW crew at Southside and especially those who helped at the meet. Rhodehouse and Big E. I also have to thank my wife for enabling this insanity. I'm a lucky guy.

Not to forget, I am very proud to say that Tee (Rob McCray) hit an 805 equipped bench. He is now that biggest bencher at Southside Gym. Congrats Tee, but I gotta tell you that I want that title back.

Now it's time to cut weight. I have a NAS strongman on 7/21. I want to be down to 300lbs by then. Then it's down to the 275's for the fall and back into my trusty Inzer gear. I think I still have a couple of good lifts left in me.

Here are my lifts. Tee I'll get your performances up tomorrow.

awesome you didnt struggle with it at all, looks like you needed more weight. was the 550 your first attempt? then the 600 your second, did you go for a third?

06-26-2007, 10:02 AM
Very well done. I am extremely impressed.

Amazing man. Pushing your weight to that extreme to hit those numbers impresses me even more. You ****ing earned it.

06-26-2007, 10:38 AM

Notice the sexy gentleman lifting off for Vincent. You guys have no idea how hard he worked to get that lift. We talked 3-4 times a week for almost the whole training cycle. The last week he called everyday to let me know he was still alive. The work and dedication and sacrifice paid off.

To all you young guys out there, this stuff doesn't come easy. That lift, that looked like it was 315, took a lot of effort. The lift that you see, is the end result of more hard work than you understand, right now, or maybe ever. If you want something, go out and get it. Don't cry about genetics and all the other BS - just go out and get it, just like Vincent did. Congratulations Cenzo. SFW!

Wow. Incredible. You can now say you are one of the elite benchers of all time. So few men have benched 600 raw. Very nice work.

Beastly. I think you could have launched the 550 over the uprights! Congrats on hitting you big goal and good luck with the weight loss.

I can't state how awesome a 600lbs RAW lift is. I'll never see one in this country, awesome ****.

Awesome work. For a moment I thought you were going to start repping the 550 from how easy it went up.

Hey everyone, I never took the time to thank you for all of your responses. It was such an awesome experience. I chased that lift hard, even after two surgeries last year. I want to thank all of you for your support here. I post many places but WWB is my home. Big thanks to the SSG crew with big props to E for his help that day and Rhodehouse for helping me through the entire training cycle and handling me that day.

I'm already down about 12lbs. I have a strongman contest on 7/21 and then it's into a Inzer Super Duper Phenom where I will compete later this year in the 275's. I'll get back to my journal in a few weeks once I am done with the strongman. I am doing so much cardio and conditioning that I'd make myself sick having to write about it.

I have a lot of work ahead of me. I have to catch my student Bigg Rob who is now the biggest bencher at Southside. Nice job Bigg, but I am coming to get my title back.

No, I'm getting back in the gear. My goal is 900 at 275.
