What causes involuntary leg shakes during a max deadlift?
muscle weakness? CNS?

I think it has to do with CNS co-ordination......or something like that.
You'll usually see it on newer lifters going real hard.

I have this problem. Anything to do about it? Or just deal with it until it goes away?

idk whenever I had this issue it was from my Hamstrings over exerting themselves and then my whole leg starts shaking......

Is it just with maximal lifts or all the time?

That seems to be the root but as to the actual scientific cause I have no clue. Proper warm ups can lesson the effect but at max weights it still happens.

this has happened to me only one time and it was during a max attempt. ive done rack lockouts (the point i started shaking) and has gone away since. my believe is that either/and/or the: lowerback, glutes, hamstrings, hips are suffering and cannot keep up with the other muscle stabilizers.

It only happens when I lift really heavy... I feel like my back is a good bit stronger than my legs. So my back can easily handle the weight but my legs cant support it. Does that make sense?

Yeah, thats what I was expecting.
Its natural(the shaking), don't worry about it.
You could try drinking gatorade before you lift, that 'could' stop the shaking.

now, that may not be true for most people but i do get that, especialy in the squat if i have my belt too tight.

if i dont tighten it up too much, there is no shaking... go figure

When I do really heavy incline dumbell pressing, my legs will shake really bad on the last 1-2 reps.

A lot of people are like that bako.
If memory serves right it is from your legs trying to give you some drive, but they're not sure how to do it.
