That's about 3 weeks old, but yeah, multi-touch is awesome.
In fact, a retail version of it was released today, in the iPhone. It's not the "soft" touchscreen that you see on a Treo, etc. It senses proximity, duration of touch, accepts multiple touches, pinches, or swipes at once, etc.
Of course, the display Microsoft is using is $10,000, but it's cool, nonetheless.

Well, Microsoft beat Apple to the punch as far as exhibiting operating systems they can't actually sell or implement without a $10,000 dislpay, but yeah......Apple purchased Fingerworks quite some time ago and began implementing some of their tech into the iPhone.

rofl...
The technology you use in the consumer market is leaps beyond whats currently out there. Its the same idea as the internet speed... government has internet that is much much faster then a T3 line and we have (on average) 6000 kbps down and 2000 kbps up. T3 is 45 mbps both up and down.

Amazing!
When they were splitting the bill through the credit cards on the table, I thought to myself, this is exactly what science fiction has been writing about... Were going to rely on computers ALOT more in the future. Lets hope science fiction is wrong about WW3 :p
