Damn, nice pulls Chris. I didn't think it was possible, but John Bernor is twice as thick as me!

Thanks guys.

Hawk- I just had nothing left. That was the end of a long meet. I think 580 was a long shot, I had a better shot at 555 or so.

Strong dude...especially for your BW. I'm not a fan of sumo, but you're still strong and pulled 540... nice work.

Thanks man. I am actually really curious what my max conventional is right now. All my deadlift exercises are up(partials, reps, box pulls, etc). My back feels stronger than ever and my lockout has improved(which was always my weak spot). I'll definitely be testing my conventional this training cycle.

Thanks Chris. Yes he is rather large. He's getting ready for the Cincinatti Pro-am. That show is gonna be a freak show! He did that pull after pulling 315+2 sets of quadrupled minis and then 500+1 set of quadrupled minis. He could destroy 800+ if he could just hold onto the damn bar!! :bang:

I will see you there if you go. If not, tell him to please introduce himself to me if he sees me.

holy hell you're strong. Why didn't you do 540 as your opener? It was a joke!

Ya, you made it look like I could go down stairs and do 540 real quick, it looked super easy for you. I would not want to piss John off.

Chris- I don't think I'll be able to go, but feel free to introduce yourself to him. John is very approachable. These guys think he looks scary, but he just is huge and focused during his sets. In between he's a big goof ball. :)

Thanks guys. When it comes to deadlifts at the end of a long meet, you definitely want to open conservatively. Your body is beat to hell by then and the only thing keeping you going is caffeine. I usually make most of my successful lifts look "easy", but that is really just because I lift with a lot of speed. I can make a small jump and not be able to make the weight.

Wait....I thought you took caffeine....do you just take speed before deadlifts???:french:
